Mission
“I have spent more than three decades of my life in public service — not in an office, but on the road, in uniform, in patrol cars, in correctional facilities, on fire scenes, and in classrooms training the next generation of first responders.
I served since 2003 with the New York State Police, retiring as a Senior Investigator.
I wore this county’s patch before that as a Oneida County Deputy Sheriff and Corrections Officer.
I’ve worked as a police officer in the Town of Clay and the Village of Dolgeville.
I served as a Corrections Officer for New York State.
I’ve trained officers and students as an adjunct criminal justice instructor at BOCES.
And I continue to serve today as a member and Chief of the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department, and as a former President of the Oneida County Fire Chiefs Association.
Public safety isn’t just my career — it’s my life.”- Jared Pearl
